Maize shellers are meant to gently separate maize kernels from cobs and remove rachis. They are most commonly used in the seed processing industry, when maize cobs are gathered in bulk. After husking and drying the cob, the machine is positioned within the processing plant. The Maize Sheller removes the kernels in the gentlest way possible by rubbing the cobs against one another, with little risk of affecting the sensitive maize seed's germination capacity.
